Language: English will be the primary language used at this conference, and we are offering ASL Interpreters to support communication for all. In order to provide an ideal ratio of ASL interpreters, please contact conference chair Lauren Stichter when registering so that she is aware of your needs.
When registering for this event you will see an online form to fill out to request all ASL interpreter and special accommodation needs. All requests must be finalized by September 15th, 2019.
The 2019 DSAE Conference takes place at Moore College of Art & Design. The college’s main entrance is located at 1916 Race St., Philadelphia. This entrance is wheelchair accessible, and the front door features push button access.
Elevators that are wheelchair accessible are located near Moore’s main lobby.
Restrooms at Moore are wheelchair accessible.
Seating is available in all DSAE conference areas.
Great Hall (where keynote and staged sessions will be)
Our main stage comes in 4x5 sections and is typically set up as an 8 feet deep and 25 feet long stage. We are renting a wheelchair accessible ramp to accommodate this stage.
Getting to the Conference
There are multiple options for traveling to the conference.
Lyft and Uber. The Lyft and Uber apps include accessible ride options. In the Lyft app, you must enable the Access option in Settings. In the Uber app, select UberWAV when requesting your ride.
SEPTA. Moore College of Art and Design is only a few blocks from Philadelphia’s Suburban Station, to which you can take SEPTA’s regional rail trains to the conference. Elevator access to and from Suburban Station is located at 16th and Market streets.
Public Parking. The Philadelphia Parking Authority has multiple public parking lots and garages around the Ben Franklin Parkway, where Moore and DSAE are located. Use this search tool to find the nearest lot or garage by entering “Moore College of Art and Design” in the search field.
